Job summary

ABYLSEN in Italy, Tuscany—Pistoia—seeks an HVAC System Engineer to join the engineering team. You will support development, integration and validation of HVAC systems for railway applications, collaborating with suppliers and international stakeholders.

Requirements include a degree in Mechanical, Energy or Aerospace Engineering and 3–4+ years in HVAC or related fields, with fluency in English and Italian, plus ALM tool experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Energy, Aerospace Engineering.
• 3–4+ years of experience in HVAC, System Engineering, Transportation.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Experience in railway, automotive or aerospace sectors.
• Knowledge of ALM tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
• Experience in testing and validation of complex systems.
• Knowledge of railway standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Define technical and functional requirements for HVAC systems.
• Analyse and manage customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Support the design and integration of HVAC systems within the railway vehicle.
• Manage technical interfaces with other onboard subsystems (doors, TCMS, electrical/pneumatic).
• Verify compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation and system specifications.
• Support testing, validation and commissioning activities.
• Analyse and solve issues identified during testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers and international stakeholders.

Mission - What is the challenge?

We are looking for an HVAC System Engineer to join our engineering team and support the development, integration and validation of HVAC systems for railway applications.

Technical skills:

• Define technical and functional requirements for HVAC systems.
• Analyse and manage customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Support the design and integration of HVAC systems within the railway vehicle.

• Good knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Good knowledge of English (B2 or higher).
• Familiarity with requirements management and technical documentation tools.
• Experience in the railway, automotive or aerospace sectors.
• Knowledge of ALM tools, such as DOORS or Polarion.
• Experience in testing and validation of complex systems.
• Knowledge of relevant railway standards and regulations.
• Fluent in English and Italian
