Abylsen Italy is seeking a System Engineer to contribute to the railway sector projects, focusing on onboard communications and diagnostics. You will participate in system engineering, integration, testing and verification activities across multidisciplinary teams.

You'll collaborate with mechanical, software and production engineers, prepare technical documentation and design reviews, and interface with external suppliers to ensure robust railway solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in telecommunications, embedded systems or railway sector.
• Proficient in English and Italian, written and spoken.

Mission:

As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for a System Engineer - Railway sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.

What is the challenge?

• Develop system and hardware specifications based on product requirements.


• Perform simulations, testing, and validation of electronic systems and components.


• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system issues during development and production.


• Prepare technical documentation, test reports and design reviews.


• Collaborate with mechanical, software and production engineering teams.


• Interface with external suppliers.

We are looking for a System Engineer with a background in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering to join our team working on railway and onboard communication systems.

The role will involve System Engineering, System Integration, Testing and Verification & Validation activities, with a focus on communication and diagnostic systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.


• 2 years of experience in telecommunications, embedded systems or the railway sector.


• Knowledge of radio communication principles.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Good command of English and Italian, both written and spoken.

Technical skills:

• Good knowledge of IBM DOORS


• Telecommunications & Radio Communication

• Event Recorder / JRU / Black Box

Nice to have:

• Experience with GSM-R, CAB Radio or railway communication systems.

• Familiarity with the railway environment and onboard systems.
