Job summary

Vestas Taranto manufacturing site is seeking an experienced HSE professional to drive health, safety and environmental initiatives. You will partner with Production, Maintenance and Engineering to identify risks and implement preventive actions, ensuring compliance with Italian HSE laws and ISO standards.

Proven ability to lead investigations, promote a strong safety culture, and support LOTO and environmental programs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Safety, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or Industrial Engineering)
• 3–5 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Solid knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly D.Lgs. 81/08
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
• Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements including water and wastewater management and waste management
• Fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken
• Ability to identify workplace hazards, assess risks and define preventive measures
• Practical approach to shop-floor safety including lockout/tagout and machinery safety

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental processes across the Taranto manufacturing site
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify, assess and mitigate workplace hazards and operational risks
• Conduct safety inspections, workplace observations and risk assessments, supporting preventive and corrective measures
• Support incident investigations including root cause analysis and follow-up actions
• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions to enhance HSE performance
• Contribute to LOTO, machinery safety programs and risk controls
• Provide HSE coaching, training and awareness activities to promote safety culture
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems maintenance
