Job summary

Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG in Licata, Sicily, invites an ambitious HR Manager to shape a new hotel opening. You will lead payroll coordination, implement HR processes, and drive recruitment and training in a fast-growing family business across Europe.

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, you’ll manage onboarding, employee records, contracts, and staff housing while ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality
• Formal education in HR Management or equivalent
• Fluent in German, Italian and English (spoken and written)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Basic understanding of labor and social insurance law
• Strong service and quality orientation with a proactive, hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident, approachable personality
• Team player with a solution-oriented mindset and high degree of responsibility

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll processes and liaise with external payroll provider
• Implement and continuously improve HR processes (onboarding, handbook, time tracking, exits)
• Recruitment and talent acquisition including applicant management and interviews
• Plan and coordinate internal and external training; maintain a training calendar
• Handle HR administrative tasks (records, archiving, contracts, permits)
• Support employee relations and promote a positive work environment
• Coordinate and manage staff housing
• Pre-opening HR tasks: assist recruitment ramp-up for opening; design onboarding plans; support department heads in team planning and job descriptions; set up HR systems with HQ; coordinate pre-opening trainings and briefings
