Westinghouse Electric Italy SpA in Monfalcone, IT, is seeking a Heat Treatment Operator to run furnace-based post-welding and localized thermal treatments. You will report to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager and work on a three-shift schedule at the Monfalcone site.

Responsibilities include prestart checks, equipment setup, monitoring cycles, and notifying supervisors of malfunctions. Strong Italian/English language skills and 6+ years in heat treatment are required.

• Experience in heat treatment operations is required (min. 6 years).
• Proficiency in Italian and English (min. B1) is required.

Mansioni

• Conduct prestart up checks for furnace operations.
• Prepare furnace or local thermal treatment equipment for operations.
• Monitor heating/cooling cycles and adjust temperatures and times per project procedures.
• Detect and notify equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Move parts or furnace components using manual handling, hoists or cranes.
• Support fitters and comply with safety, quality, risk and security procedures.

About the role:

The primary function for the Heath Treatment Operator is to operate heat treating equipment (furnace) with the purpose of completing post-welding thermal treatment and localized thermal treatment.

You will report to Nuclear Fabrication Manager and be located in Monfalcone site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct prestart up checks;
• Prepare furnace or localized thermal treatment equipment for the operations;
• Monitor heating and cooling cycles, adjust and control temperatures and heating times by reading temperature instruments and charts according to project procedures;
• Detect and notify malfunctions of the equipment to supervisors;
• Move parts or furnace components into position, manually or with hoists or cranes;
• Provide support to fitters;
• Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in heat treatment operations (min. 6 years);
• Availability to work in three shifts:Monday to Friday - Shift 1: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Shift 2: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Night Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am;
• Knowledge of Italian and English languages (min. B1 level)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base annual salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be €29.100 to €37.000 per month.
