Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Administrative Intern to support a broad portfolio of healthcare projects, working with physicians, administrative staff, and allied health professionals in a fast-paced environment.

The internship spans May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with on-site duty in Rome, GA, and a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. No prior experience is required; current students in related fields are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Healthcare Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Management, Nonprofit Management, Data Analytics, or a related field with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Intern will help manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to progress and work product to meet sponsors' needs.
• Becomes part of the work unit to carry out assigned tasks; identify and use internal/external resources to accomplish goals.
• Assist in building healthcare management skills; work with physicians and staff; may lead a work group or task force.
• Help describe and integrate functions across practice, education, and research; inpatient and outpatient settings; hiring and training.
