Job summary

Gridspertise is seeking a Client Manager for its South EMEA Customer Management unit in Rome to drive delivery of client projects and ensure contract success. The role requires coordinating solutions, manufacturing, system integration and support teams for on-time execution.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in project/contract management in energy or utilities, strong commercial acumen, and English plus Russian proficiency. Willingness to travel up to 50% and work on-site in Italy is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related.
• 10+ years in project or contract management in energy/utilities.
• Experience with smart metering deployments is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Russian language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary client contact and trusted advisor for the Turkmenistan project.
• Lead implementation and ongoing management of the Client Delivery Plan.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth contract delivery.
• Monitor contract performance against KPIs and service levels.
• Track, analyze and report contract financials and commercial performance.
• Manage contract compliance, change control, and claims/variation processes.
• Oversee logistics and supply-chain execution for meters and accessories.

What you will do:

As Client Manager, you will be responsible for all activities related to:

• Act as primary client contact and trusted advisor for the Turkmenistan project;
• Lead implementation and ongoing management of the Client Delivery Plan;
• Coordinate internal teams (solutions, manufacturing, system integration, technical support) to ensure smooth contract delivery;
• Monitor contract performance against KPIs and service levels; initiate corrective actions when needed;
• Track, analyze and report contract financials and commercial performance;
• Manage contract compliance, change control, and claims/variation processes;
• Oversee logistics and supply-chain execution for meters and accessories.

Who you are:

Master’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related with:

• 10+ years’ experience in project or contract management roles, preferably in energy, utilities or large infrastructure projects;
• Proven experience managing smart metering or utility metering deployments is strongly preferred;
• Strong commercial understanding and experience managing contract economics, risk and claims;
• Experience in logistics and supply chain management for hardware-intensive rollouts;
• Familiarity with IT/digital project delivery (system integration, data architecture, cybersecurity basics);
• Excellent organizational, stakeholder-management and leadership skills;
• Fluent in English mandatory; Russian language skills required to interface project stakeholders.

Note: Willingness to travel regularly in Turkmenistan (up to 50% of the time) and work on-site as required.

What we offer:

• 2-year fixed-term contract based in Rome, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position thereafter;
• Annual salary range: €55,000 - €80,000 (In accordance with the Pay Transparency Directive No. 2023/970);
