Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to fill a Head of Vendor Management / Associate Director role based in Italy. You will shape a centralized vendor strategy for an international pharmaceutical and life sciences environment, leading supplier partnerships, contract negotiations, and governance across regions.

You will drive cost optimization, risk management, and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and patient safety in outsourced services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in vendor management, procurement, strategic sourcing, outsourcing, or partnership management within regulated life sciences environments.
• Proven track record of developing and optimizing vendor networks and supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, quality, and compliance in outsourced services.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vendor Management and Commercial Outsourcing with a centralized, strategic approach.
• Develop vendor qualifications, onboarding processes, governance, and performance management.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier pricing strategies for value, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Drive cost optimization while ensuring service continuity and compliance.
• Collaborate with Legal, QA, Finance, and Clinical teams across international business units.
• Mentor and develop team capabilities in a growing vendor management function.
