Vertiv in Piove di Sacco, Italy seeks a Sr Manager Project Transitions to lead cross‑functional transitions across multiple sites and acquisitions. You will manage make-to-buy and buy-to-make transfers, complex footprint projects, and post‑merger integration with a focus on schedule, cost, and quality.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing/operations, 5+ years in complex projects, PMP/Prince2 preferred, and up to 50% travel across EMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations.
• 5+ years managing complex cross-functional projects.
• Proven track record of delivering make/buy transitions or production transfers.
• Formal PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
• Experience managing CapEx projects ($1M–$20M+ range).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across functions and sites.
• Strong analytical skills including timeline/resource planning, risk management, and financial tracking.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across EMEA.

Responsabilités

• Lead Make-to-Buy transitions (outsourcing) from supplier qualification to ramp-up and decommissioning.
• Develop detailed transition plans with timelines, risk mitigation, and communication strategies.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Plant teams for handover to external suppliers.
• Manage dual-source periods and set go/no-go criteria for full cutover.
• Track and report financial realization vs. business case assumptions.
• Manage insourcing transitions end-to-end: equipment, facility prep, process validation, workforce training, ramp-up.
• Develop capacity models and resource plans for internal production readiness.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering on process development, tooling, and automation.
• Ensure regulatory and quality system compliance for insourced processes.
• Lead complex footprint projects: site transfers, capacity expansions, consolidations, stand-ups.
• Develop integrated project plans with milestones and dependencies.
• Manage CapEx within budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to deliver on schedule.
• Ensure business continuity and customer supply protection during transitions.
• Serve as Operations integration PM for acquisitions: 100-day plans for manufacturing, quality, IT, workforce integration.
• Lead synergy tracking and cultural integration at acquired sites.
• Establish SOPs and align acquired operations to company standards.
• Maintain a consolidated portfolio of active transitions; run governance cadences and provide status reports.
