Job summary

Safilo Group in Padova (HQ) is seeking a Global Supply Network Planning Specialist to shape medium- and long-term plans for eyewear categories and coordinate with Demand Planning and cross-functional teams.

You will leverage SAP and Tableau to analyze data, manage inventory forecasts, and collaborate across Purchasing, Operations and Finance, while operating in a hybrid work mode supporting strong cross-functional execution.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in inventory and/or capacity planning, preferably within fashion companies operating in a global environment.
• Solid understanding of supply planning principles, including inventory management, capacity planning and end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical skills, with hands‑on experience in data analysis, KPI tracking and performance reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, plus SAP environments (SAP BW, SAP S/4) and Tableau or BI tools.
• Ability to work confidently with complex datasets, dashboards and digital reporting tools, translating data into clear insights.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, structured approach to work.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to interact across organizational levels.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly motivated Global Supply Network Planning Specialist to be included in the Global Demand & Sales Planning area, based in Padova (HQ). Reporting directly to the Global Distribution & Inventory Planning Manager, this hands‑on role is perfect for someone who is looking to introduce advanced planning methods and external best practices in a dynamically growing work environment.

As a Global Supply Network Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Building medium (6-12 months) and long-term (12-24 months) supply plans for the assigned product categories (e.g., optical frames, sunglasses), managing a complex portfolio of international suppliers.
• Managing distribution planning activities across the distribution network and building consistent inventory forecast
• Identifying supply risks (capacity, delays, constraints), reporting on capacity utilization, highlighting inefficiencies and proposing continuous improvements in order to reduce wasted capacity.
• Working closely with Demand Planning to align sales plans with supply capabilities, challenging forecasts when operational constraints or financial risks emerge.
• Collaborating with Purchasing, Supplier Management, Operations and Finance teams, actively contributing to timely plan execution and cross-functional alignment.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:
