Safilo in Padova (HQ) seeks a Global Supply Network Planning Specialist to craft medium- and long-term plans for optical frames and sunglasses, coordinating with international suppliers and cross-functional teams. The role requires up to 2 years in inventory/capacity planning, strong Excel skills, SAP environments, Tableau, and the ability to turn data into clear insights.

Fluency in English is essential; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• As much as 2 years of inventory and/or capacity planning experience.
• Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management and end-to-end processes.
• Excellent data analysis, KPI tracking and reporting skills.
• Advanced MS Excel; SAP environments and BI tools (Tableau) experience.
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights; highly organized and proactive.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsabilités

• Build medium (6–12 months) and long-term (12–24 months) supply plans for product categories.
• Manage distribution planning and build consistent inventory forecasts.
• Identify supply risks, report on capacity and highlight improvements to reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning to align sales with supply and challenge forecasts where needed.
• Work with Purchasing, Supplier Management, Operations and Finance to ensure timely plan execution.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated Global Supply Network Planning Specialist to be included in the Global Demand & Sales Planning area, based in Padova (HQ). Reporting directly to the Global Distribution & Inventory Planning Manager, this hands‑on role is perfect for someone who is looking to introduce advanced planning methods and external best practices in a dynamically growing work environment.

As a Global Supply Network Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Building medium (6-12 months) and long-term (12-24 months) supply plans for the assigned product categories (e.g., optical frames, sunglasses), managing a complex portfolio of international suppliers.
• Managing distribution planning activities across the distribution network and building consistent inventory forecast
• Identifying supply risks (capacity, delays, constraints), reporting on capacity utilization, highlighting inefficiencies and proposing continuous improvements in order to reduce wasted capacity.
• Working closely with Demand Planning to align sales plans with supply capabilities, challenging forecasts when operational constraints or financial risks emerge.
• Collaborating with Purchasing, Supplier Management, Operations and Finance teams, actively contributing to timely plan execution and cross-functional alignment.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:

• Up to 2 years of experience in inventory and/or capacity planning, preferably within fashion companies operating in a global environment.
• A solid understanding of supply planning principles, including inventory management, capacity planning and end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical skills, with hands‑on experience in data analysis, KPI tracking and performance reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, combined with previous experience or solid knowledge of SAP environments (SAP, SAP/BW, SAP S/4) and business intelligence tools, including Tableau.
• The ability to work confidently with complex datasets, dashboards and digital reporting tools, translating data into clear and actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, combined with a structured and proactive approach to work.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at different organizational levels.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• A Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or a related field.
