Safilo, a leading eyewear company, seeks a Senior F&A Accounting Specialist for its Padova HQ to support month-end close and financial reporting for US and Canadian operations.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in F&A with IFRS exposure (IFRS 9/16), strong analytics, and fluency in Italian and English. SAP S4 and Tableau experience are a plus; the role offers international scope and cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in analytical roles in F&A of multinational companies or consulting firms.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 16.

Mansioni

• Support the close calendar and SAP S4 period control, opening and closing posting periods.
• Handle inventory accounting and reserves including freight, duty, in-transit, warranty and obsolescence accruals.
• Prepare payroll, benefits and incentive accruals; manage regional and management bonus programs.
• Contribute to IFRS reporting and consolidation in HFM with reconciliations and analyses.
• Assist with A/R provisioning under IFRS 9 and bad-debt reserves.
• Process intercompany recharges and annual transfer-pricing adjustments.
• Book lease accounting under IFRS 16, vendor-rebate and warranty provisions, and foreign-currency valuations.
• Perform monthly balance-sheet reviews and prepare management materials.
• Follow internal controls and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior F&A Accounting Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting Team at our Headquarters in Padova. In this role, you will take part in the month-end close and financial-reporting activities across our US and Canadian operations. The position offers exposure to an international environment, with regular interactions with US based stakeholders. You will report to the Global Accounting Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the close calendar and SAP S4 period control, opening and closing posting periods and helping keep the close running smoothly across entities.
• Handle inventory accounting and reserves — including freight, duty, in-transit, warranty and obsolescence accruals.
• Prepare payroll, benefits and incentive accruals, including sales, regional and management bonus programs.
• Contribute to IFRS reporting and consolidation in HFM, including trial-balance-to-HFM reconciliations, error checks and analytical review for management.
• Assist with A/R provisioning under IFRS 9, booking and releasing bad-debt reserves based on portfolio analysis.
• Process intercompany recharges and the annual transfer-pricing adjustments with the wider group.
• Book lease accounting under IFRS 16, vendor-rebate and warranty provisions, and monthly foreign-currency valuations.
• Perform monthly balance-sheet reviews and prepare clear management review materials.
• Follow internal controls and keep audit-ready documentation across your areas of responsibility.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in analytical roles in F&A of multinational companies or consulting firms.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS, including exposure to IFRS 9 (impairment) and IFRS 16 (leases).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a result-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in multinational and cross-functional environments.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365; SAP and Tableau are a plus.
