Applied Materials in Dresden, Germany is seeking a Software (Technical) Support Engineer to join the team supporting PDC based inspection tools. You will analyze reported problems, install software images, validate releases, and develop installation procedures.
The role requires a degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Automation and 2–4 years of software testing experience, with strong English communication; German is a plus. Travel up to 50% to customer sites and headquarters.
Competenze
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software testing and related areas.
- Strong communication skills in English; German is beneficial.
Mansioni
- Software System Troubleshooting – analyze problems and plan root-cause resolutions.
- Software Installation Imaging – install and document software images.
- Software Test Validation – build simulators and execute test plans.
- Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions.
- Understand and resolve internal and external application issues.
- Customer Engagement Training – train customers on tool operations.
- Provide ongoing training to customers and engineers.
- Assist in OS performance, database, and integration analysis.
