EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in ophthalmic lenses and eyewear, is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive supplier strategy and negotiations. You will manage supplier portfolios, define sourcing plans, and lead cost-reduction initiatives across categories with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Purchasing, strong negotiation, and a technical background. English fluency and travel readiness are required; advanced Excel and SAP are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
• Strong project management with multiple parallel sourcing projects.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Eng, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Analytical with cost data, KPIs, and business cases.
• Engineering background is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and SAP experience preferred.
• Fluent English; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Manage and develop suppliers for assigned categories.
• Lead negotiations on price, terms, lead time, and logistics.
• Define sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Onboard new suppliers with cross-functional teams.
• Lead cost-reduction and value-creation projects.
• Support new product introduction with supplier readiness.
• Monitor supplier performance and risk; manage escalations.
