Bystronic Group in Sassari, Italy is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide hands-on support for 2nd level service, ensuring maximum uptime of Bystronic tube laser machines at customer sites worldwide.

You will install, commission, troubleshoot, retrofit, and upgrade machines, mentor junior technicians, and maintain safe, accurate documentation while traveling predominantly in Europe. Fluency in English is expected, and a proactive approach to safety and quality is required.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3-5 years technical service experience: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience commissioning industrial machinery, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and start-up, is required.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, with a strong commitment to safety compliance, procedures, and accurate documentation.

Mansioni

• Install, fully disassemble, revise, assemble, commissioning & handing over Bystronic tube laser machines, including system integrations.
• Resolve very complex issues. Act as role models to mentor other technicians.
• Assemble electric, pneumatic and hydraulic installations.
• Perform advanced repairs and measurements.
• Retrofit Bystronic Machines at the customer site, including modifying and retrofitting electric, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and adjust parameters of CNC/PLC systems.
• Perform CNC/PLC software updates / downgrades and tests whether those were successful.
