Bystronic Group is seeking a 2nd Level Service Technician to provide hands-on support to 1st Level teams and ensure maximum uptime of Bystronic tube laser machines at customer premises worldwide.

You will install, fault-find, retrofit, calibrate CNC/PLC systems and mentor junior technicians while maintaining safety and quality documentation. The role requires extensive travel (80%), fluent English, and a passion for industrial automation.

Competenze

• 3-5 years technical service experience: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience commissioning industrial machinery, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and start-up.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, with a strong commitment to safety compliance, procedures, and accurate documentation.

Mansioni

• Install, fully disassemble, revise, assemble and hand over Bystronic tube laser machines including system integrations.
• Diagnose and adjust CNC/PLC parameters; perform software updates/downgrades and verify success.
• Retrofit machines at customer sites, modify hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems as needed.
• Mentor other technicians and contribute to quality improvements per ISO guidelines.
• Complete service reports and installation documentation in CRM; train staff on PLC/CNC knowledge.
