Bystronic is seeking a 2nd Level Service Technician to provide hands-on support for 1st Level teams, ensuring maximum uptime of Bystronic tube laser machines at customer sites worldwide. The role involves intricate electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic work, complex problem solving, and customer-focused service delivery.

You will travel extensively (mainly Europe), engage in installations, commissioning, retrofits and software updates, and contribute to safety compliance while mentoring junior

Competenze

• 3–5 years of technical service experience in mechanical, electrical or software engineering.
• Hands-on commissioning of industrial machinery including installation, testing and start-up.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and strict documentation.

Mansioni

• Install, disassemble, revise, assemble, commission and hand over Bystronic tube laser machines and integrations.
• Resolve very complex issues; mentor other technicians; perform advanced repairs and measurements.
• Retrofit machines at customer sites and update complex CNC/PLC systems.
• Diagnose and adjust CNC/PLC parameters and perform software updates/downgrades.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and provide advice to optimize machine performance.
• Complete service reports, collect customer feedback and training on PLC/CNC skills.
• Follow ISO quality improvements and document safety procedures.
