Alstom in Nola, Italy is seeking a Fleet Support Centre Engineer to design maintenance diagnostics for the assigned project and optimize troubleshooting procedures. You will review failures and develop standard procedures to address recurring issues while contributing to train health monitoring and remote support for critical events, in a shift-based role.

The role requires a degree in electronics or electro-technical engineering and experience with diagnostic tools, aiming to improve system

Competenze

  • Graduated in electronics or electro-technical engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making is valued.
  • Knowledge of automotive/railway diagnostics is a plus.
  • Fluent English or basic knowledge as stated.

Job Title: Fleet Support Centre Engineer

Purpose of the Job
  • To design maintenance diagnostics for the assigned project
  • Tooptimize corrective maintenance operation by development of standard internal procedure for troubleshooting.
  • Review all equipment failures, downtime reports and equipment histories to uncover reoccurring maintenance problems. As appropriate he will utilize continuous improvement tools to identify root cause and work to implement a solution helping the RG team.
  • Take advantage of the fault three and hazard analysys to identifie equipment or subsystem where CBM approach will ensure major returns.
  • Totake part in the train health monitoringprocess by defining rules for the diagnosis.
  • To provide remote support for critical trouble shooting activities.

Educational Requirements
  • Graduated in electronics or electro-technical engineering
Technical Knowledge / Experience
  • Experience in TCMS development or validation or commissioning
  • Experience at system level in Railway industries or big industrial plant (Power, naval etc.)
Behavioural and Technical Skills / Competencies
  • Analytical and proactive
  • Data driven (makes objective decisions based on data/ facts and speaks with data)
