BionIT Labs in Italy is seeking a Firmware & Embedded AI Engineer to lead the core intelligence of our medical devices. You will design real-time embedded software for ARM Cortex-M MCUs and integrate edge AI to process physiological signals using ROS2 for high-level orchestration.

The role emphasizes low-level optimization, clean architecture, robust testing, and documentation compliant with MedTech standards (IEC 62304).

Competenze

• 3+ years in firmware development and embedded systems.
• Expert C/C++, RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr), and ROS2 framework, Python for data analysis/AI training.
• Knowledge of BLE, CAN, SPI, I2C; Embedded AI workflows and MCU deployment.
• PCB design with ECAD tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad); prototyping and debugging.

Mansioni

• Firmware Engineering: Develop high-performance, real-time C/C++ code for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Edge AI & DSP: Integrate TinyML models for real-time signal processing (EMG/IMU).
• Middleware: Architect data exchange using ROS2 for system orchestration.
• Software Design: Build modular, scalable codebases with OOP and patterns.
• Quality & Testing: Unit testing and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.
• Leadership & Docs: Mentor junior devs and document per MedTech IEC 62304.
