BionIT Labs in Italy is seeking a Firmware & Embedded AI Engineer to lead real-time embedded software development for our medical devices. You will integrate edge AI, work with ROS2 for system orchestration, and optimize low-level performance on ARM Cortex-M MCUs.

The role emphasizes clean code, modular design, and compliance with MedTech standards. You will mentor junior developers and contribute to IEC 62304 documentation, with a collaborative, cross-functional team in Soleto, Puglia.

Competenze

• 3+ years in firmware development and embedded systems.
• Expert C/C++ with RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr) and ROS2 framework, Python for data analysis/AI training.
• Embedded AI workflows (quantization and MCU deployment).
• PCB design with ECAD tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad).
• Prototyping with PCB assembly and rework.
• Git, CMake, and debugging (J-Link, GDB, Logic Analyzers).
• Fluent in English and Italian.
