Job summary

Belmond Ltd. is seeking a finance-focused intern in Venice, Italy, pursuing or recently finishing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

You will support audit, procurement, cost control, and reporting tasks, while gaining experience with Workday and POS systems. You will work closely with the Financial Controller on month-end activities and ad-hoc analyses, benefiting from the group’s global environment and learning platforms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of Workday and POS systems is a plus.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Audit support: Prepare documents, reconciliations, and follow up on audit requests.
• Procurement compliance: Check POs, invoices, approvals, and compliance with procedures.
• Cost control: Support cost analysis, variance checks, and follow-up on discrepancies.
• Physical counts: Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation
• Reporting: Prepare and update financial reports, trackers, and Excel analysis.
• Finance support: Assist with month-end activities, documentation, and ad-hoc analysis.
• Assist the Financial Controller with other finance-related projects and cost analysis
