Belmond is seeking a Sales Assistant in Training based at our Milan office to support luxury sales across Italy and Spain. You will assist Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives with leads, proposals, and client communications.

This 6-month internship offers hands-on exposure to luxury hospitality sales, CRM workflows, market intelligence, and event coordination, with mentorship and access to Belmond Academy.

Formación

• Degree or current studies in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
• Strong organizational mindset with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Keen interest in luxury travel sales and customer relationship management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; MS Office proficiency; CRM familiarity is a plus.
• Native/Fluent Italian and business-fluent English; EU work eligibility in Italy.

Based in our Milan Divisional Office, the Sales Assistant in Training will support commercial, leisure, and group sales activities across Belmond's iconic portfolio of hotels in Italy and Spain.

This internship role offers hands-on exposure to luxury hospitality sales, supporting Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives in driving revenue, managing client relationships, and coordinating sales operations across international markets. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Sales Southern Europe with a dotted line to the Sales Managers Italy & Spain, the candidate will gain 360-degree insight into luxury hotel commercial management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Operations & Lead Management

• Support day-to-day administrative sales tasks, handling proposals, contracts, invoices, complimentary forms, and lead tracking for leisure, group, and ultra-luxury assets (e.g., Villa Beatrice).
• Manage the shared sales inbox, qualifying and distributing incoming FIT, corporate, and social event inquiries.

Client Database & Marketing Support

• Maintain and update the customer CRM database, tracking client interactions, sales calls, and follow-up activities.
• Assist in drafting and distributing client newsletters, consortia submissions, and promotional collateral, while managing sales kit inventories.

Events, Site Inspections & Logistics

• Coordinate logistics for hotel visits, site inspections, and educational trips, tracking activity and supporting ROI reporting.
• Support supplier communication, trade event logistics, and regional sales activation materials.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Conduct competitive set analysis, monitoring market trends, promotional campaigns, and competitor activity across key destinations.
• Assist in compiling monthly divisional reports detailing site visits, agency communications, and sales KPIs for executive review.

Requirements

• Degree or current studies in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
• Strong organizational mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Keen interest in luxury travel sales, business operations, and customer relationship management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
• Native/Fluent Italian and Business-Fluent English (mandatory).
• EU Passport holder or valid permit to work in Italy.
