MacGregor is establishing a brand-new Service Hub in Trieste, inviting experienced technical professionals to join at an early stage and grow with the operation. As a Field Service Engineer, you will work hands-on with complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on marine equipment across Europe, visiting vessels, shipyards and customer sites.

Competenze

• Solid hands-on experience in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical systems.
• Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline.

• Willingness to travel across Europe, including overnight stays.

MacGregor is building a brand-new Service Hub in Trieste, creating an exciting opportunity for experienced technical professionals to join the team at an early stage and grow together with the operation.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work hands‑on with complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on marine equipment across Europe. Your work will take you onboard vessels, into shipyards and directly to customer sites.

What you’ll be doing

• Perform and supervise advanced service activities, including inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, refurbishments and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Support complex technical investigations and problem solving.
• Work from technical drawings, manuals and documentation.
• Act as a trusted technical representative of MacGregor when working with customers onsite.
• Coach and support less experienced engineers and technicians.
• Prepare clear service reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with MacGregor colleagues and service teams across Europe.
• Follow all safety, environmental and site requirements.

What we’re looking for

You could come from marine, shipbuilding, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, cranes, hydraulics, electrical maintenance or another hands‑on technical environment.

Ideally, you have:

• Solid hands‑on technical experience.
• A technical diploma, apprenticeship or degree in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, marine engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Confidence working independently in the field.
• Good English for onsite communication and technical reporting.
• A valid driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel extensively across Europe, including overnight and multi‑week assignments.
