Job summary

Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. in Genoa, Italy is seeking a Field Service Engineering Experienced Professional to deliver expert technical support and maintenance at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of advanced Hitachi systems, while traveling extensively as needed. A Bachelor's in a relevant field and 5+ years of field service experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, CS or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven field service engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Hitachi systems at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration for system reliability.
• Provide on-site technical training and guidance to customers on product operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to resolve escalated issues and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Document all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service.
• Adhere to safety policies and customer site regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and service tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel extensively as required.

Your background

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues under pressure.
• Expertise in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
