Job summary

Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. is seeking a Finance Analyst to support business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities.

You will reconcile data, ensure controls, and communicate insights to drive financial and operational improvements. The role requires a degree in finance or related field and up to 3-5 years of experience, with fluency in English and Italian and strong Excel/SAP S/4HANA skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and proposing targeted improvement actions.
• Collaborate with factory controller to understand and analyze financial drivers, trends, and overall performance dynamics.
• Reconcile financial data and review exceptions to validate the accuracy and reliability of reports and business information.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails and documentation to facilitate internal, external, and tax audits.
• Ensure the accuracy of project balance sheets, income statements, cash flow forecasts, and monthly/quarterly financial reports.
• Support the project controller by coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with business directives and monitor compliance with internal controls related to projects.
• Maintain accurate financials in the ERP system on a regular basis including planned, actual, forecasted revenues and costs.
• Early identification of risks and provisions.
• Support cash collection and reduce overdue.
