Job summary

Trusted Crew is seeking a Field Inspector / Expeditor for a Naval Group manufacturing project in Italy. The role is based in Venice with oversight across three supplier sites: Venice, Rho (Milan), and Roncadelle (Brescia).

You will monitor progress, flag delays and risks, oversee inspection activities, and report issues to the client. The assignment is long-term, starting ASAP, with a negotiable day rate plus expenses and requires travel among sites and eligibility to work in Italy.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing inspection, supplier surveillance or expediting.
• Strong knowledge of forging processes and welded fabrication.
• Understanding of heat treatment and mechanical testing.
• Experience monitoring production schedules and identifying manufacturing risks.
• Fluency in English, French and Italian.

Field Inspector / Expeditor – Manufacturing

Location: Venice, Italy (Multi-Site Assignment Milan & Brescia)

Start: ASAP

Contract: Long-term, potentially until March 2029

Rate: Negotiable day rate + applicable expenses

Trusted Crew is recruiting an experienced Field Inspector / Expeditor to support Bureau Veritas on a Naval Group manufacturing project in Italy.

The inspector will be based in Venice, with responsibility for overseeing manufacturing activities across three supplier facilities.

Manufacturing Sites:

• Venice (SIMIC): Welded sub-assemblies, qualification activities and series production.
• Rho (Milan): Forged components, heat treatment and mechanical testing.
• Roncadelle (Brescia): Welded sub-assembly fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor manufacturing progress across the three supplier sites.
• Identify production delays, schedule deviations and risks.
• Oversee relevant inspection and manufacturing activities.
• Report progress and potential issues to the client.

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing inspection, supplier surveillance or expediting.
• Strong knowledge of forging processes and welded fabrication.
• Understanding of heat treatment and mechanical testing.
• Experience monitoring production schedules and identifying manufacturing risks.English, French and Italian language capability.
• Ability to travel between the three sites.
