Alpitronic in Italy is seeking a Software Product Owner to drive the evolution of our EV charging software solutions, bridging business needs, customer requirements, regulations, and development teams to deliver high-quality products.

You will define and manage the software roadmap, own the backlog for charger modules, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with OCPP, ISO15118 and IEC61851, while coordinating releases and OTA strategies.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role for complex software products, ideally in embedded systems, IoT, energy, or e-mobility environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and product backlog management.
• Ability to understand and translate technical requirements related to embedded software, networking protocols, and cloud-based architectures.
• Knowledge of EV charging technologies and standards such as OCPP, ISO 15118, and IEC 61851 is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a strategic product perspective.
• Fluent in English as well as German and/or Italian.

Mansioni

• Define and manage the software roadmap for our charging solutions, translating business, customer, and regulatory requirements into clear development priorities
• Own and prioritize the product backlog for charger software modules, ensuring the right balance between product maturity, development capacity, customer value, and business impact
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, System Architects, Hardware Engineers, Software Developers, and external stakeholders to transform requirements into user stories, specifications, and actionable development tasks
• Support Agile development processes through backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and continuous alignment with development teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including OCPP, ISO 15118, IEC 61851, metrology, and cybersecurity requirements
• Coordinate software releases and OTA rollout strategies, ensuring effective communication, documentation, validation, and certification activities
• Analyse customer feedback, field data, and market trends to continuously improve product performance and identify new opportunities within the e-mobility ecosystem
