Job summary

The Forward Deployed Engineer position is open for a fast-growing AI company’s client. The role is permanent with a strong customer-facing focus, based in Milan or Rome, Italy, with four days in the office and English and Italian language requirements.

The engineer will work with enterprise customers to design AI-driven solutions, build integrations across systems, deploy agents in production, and iterate based on outcomes. Strong ownership, communication, and hands-on engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience with strong problem solving.
• Ability to design AI-driven solutions and translate business problems into technical designs.
• Experience deploying production systems and improving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows and design AI-driven solutions.
• Develop integrations across systems and data flows, test with real data, and measure outcomes.
• Build, ship, and own technical outcomes end-to-end in ambiguous environments.
