Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an Engagement Manager to drive Professional Services sales remotely from Italy. You will lead cross‑functional teams with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success to scope, negotiate and close opportunities that accelerate adoption of MongoDB technologies.

The ideal candidate has a BS in CS/Math/Engineering, 5+ years selling PS at an enterprise software company, and experience as architect/consultant/project manager.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in selling Professional Services and/or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
• Experience as architect, consultant, project manager, or PS manager.
• Experience selling professional services with quota.
• Knowledge of databases (RDBMS/SQL/NoSQL) and software lifecycle.
• Cloud and on‑prem technologies (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Openshift).
• Ability to scope, estimate projects, and build account strategies.
• Fluent in French and English; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer portfolios, priorities, and success measures to design digital transformation using MongoDB tech.
• Translate uses-cases into scoped projects and Statements of Work.
• Partner with sales to develop account strategies for adoption, growth and utilization.
• Own deals from inception to closure and manage PS pipeline.
• Articulate business value of professional services and address delivery risks.
• Collaborate to develop repeatable assets (estimates, proposals, SOWs, templates).
• Coordinate with delivery to ensure project scope meets expectations.
• Mentor teammates and share best practices, travel as needed.
