AXA XL Italy is seeking an experienced Underwriter Energy in Milan to write new and renewal Energy business for an allocated range of clients, collaborating with brokers and clients to grow a profitable portfolio.

You will assess risks, determine premiums, and work with Claims, Operations and Distribution to deliver high quality service. Fluency in English and Italian is required, with strong knowledge of energy markets.

• Experience in underwriting Energy business and good insurance market knowledge.
• Communicate and work in English and Italian.
• Understands stakeholders’ needs and concerns and identifies points of agreement.
• Know and use selling and negotiation techniques; adapt to the customer's situation.

• Analytical skills to perform fact-based analyses on risks.

Mansioni

• Underwrite Energy business within the agreed business plan and authority; review submissions, policy wording, reports and financials.
• Calculate risk premiums considering risk costs, reinsurance cessions, and admin costs for profitability.
• Advise, service, and follow up with clients on insurance and risk management needs.
• Identify and develop opportunities for profitable business with new and existing customers.
• Maintain effective relationships to enable cross-selling and account retention.
• Collaborate with Distribution Team to provide efficient service.
• Ensure timely implementation of new and renewed accounts following quality standards.
• Support planning and forecasting; monitor financial exposure and premium income.
• Relay accurate information to Operations for policy releases and program implementation.
• Maintain awareness of claims and assist with settlements input.
