Job summary

Allianz Italia in Milan seeks an underwriting professional to lead strategy for Property & Multinational risks in the Italian market. You will support local strategy, ensure achievement of targets, and act as contact for agents/brokers working with the Property Team.

Role requires degree in Engineering, Economics or Law and 3+ years in profitable Property underwriting for corporate clients, including multinational exposure and liability knowledge. Fluency in Italian and English is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Economics or Law or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients (PD/BI and Theft).
• Experience with Multinational clients and knowledge in Liability.
• Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration life cycle.
• Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis skills.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent wordings.
• Experience driving underwriting projects.
• International mindset and strong communication skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level to achieve financial targets.
• Review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle with other functions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to support marketing strategies.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines and local regulations.
• Support development and implementation of new or modified products.
• Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business (agent/broker negotiations).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.
