Job summary

4.Operations is seeking an Electrical Designer / Electrical Design Engineer for a full-time position in Italy. The role focuses on MV/LV electrical systems, transformer substations, and power distribution for industrial projects, with duties including creating diagrams, specs, and coordination across disciplines.

The candidate should have a degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, 3–4 years of design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Strong experience with MV/LV systems.
• Experience with transformer substations and power distribution.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience preparing electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Background in industrial, chemical, mechanical or engineering projects.
• Good English communication skills.
• Willingness to work from the Florence office.
• Flexibility to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Design MV and LV electrical systems.
• Develop transformer substation layouts and power distribution systems.
• Prepare single line and multi line diagrams.
• Produce electrical layouts for power and lighting systems.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs and RFQs.
• Support equipment and supplier selection.
• Review technical documentation and drawings.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Support site inspections and project activities when required.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements and applicable standard.
