EDAG Italia is looking for a Driveability & Powertrain Calibration Engineer to support customers in challenging, international projects. You will gain hands-on testing experience across engines, transmissions, and hybrid powertrains, while collaborating with software, system, and validation teams.

You will develop expertise in calibration techniques, data analysis, and driveability optimization, and you will contribute to premium vehicle technologies as part of a global engineering organization.

Competenze

• Degree in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in powertrain calibration and driveability development.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control engineering principles.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Driveability & Powertrain Calibration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Driveability & Powertrain Calibration Engineer to provide high-quality support to our customers.

• Participate in challenging international automotive projects focused on powertrain calibration and vehicle drive ability development;
• Develop end-to-end expertise in engine, transmission, hybrid systems and vehicle integration;
• Gain hands-on experience with vehicle testing activities on proving grounds, public roads and international test campaigns;
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including software, system, simulation and validation engineers;
• Increase competencies in powertrain software calibration, modelling and data analysis;
• Contribute to the development of high-performance and hybrid vehicle technologies;
• Increase exposure to premium OEM development processes and milestone-based product validation activities;
• Prepare technical reports documenting test results, findings and improvement proposals;
• Execute vehicle testing activities and evaluate driveability performance

Your skills that will help us to get ahead:

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent;
• Experience and/or strong interest in powertrain calibration, driveability development, vehicle testing or automotive engineering activities;
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems and control engineering principles;
• Familiarity with internal combustion engines, transmissions, hybrid powertrains and vehicle control systems;
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, calibration tools, measurement systems and data analysis methodologies;
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent engineering tools;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication, organizational and planning skills;
• Availability for national and international business trips;
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

Total compensation:

• Contract type: [Permanent contract]
• Gross annual salary (RAL):
