Job summary

EDAG Italia is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our automotive engineering team and contribute to ECU software development. We welcome applications from both junior candidates with a strong academic background and from experienced professionals.

You will support embedded C software development for automotive ECUs, help configure AUTOSAR components, and assist in integrating MATLAB/Simulink models with hand-written C code. A collaborative, innovative environment awaits.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of C programming.
• Experience/Interest in embedded systems and software development.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or AUTOSAR is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and the ability to understand basic electronic schematics.
• Motivation to learn, curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of embedded C software for automotive applications.
• Contribute to the configuration of AUTOSAR software components and basic software layers.
• Support the integration of software generated with MATLAB/Simulink with hand-written C code.
• Participate in software testing, debugging and troubleshooting activities.

Total compensation:

• Contract type: [Permanent ]
• Gross annual salary (RAL): €[28.000] – €[45.000] (determined on actual experience and on the basis of objective, neutral, and verifiable criteria)
• Smart working: individual remote working agreements
• Working hours: Full‑time (40 hours per week) with flexibility
