Job summary

EDAG Group in Genova, Italy, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our automotive engineering team and contribute to ECU software development.

We welcome both junior and experienced candidates. The role covers embedded C, AUTOSAR basics, MATLAB/Simulink integration with hand-written C, testing, and collaboration with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of C programming for embedded systems.
• Experience or interest in automotive embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C software for automotive ECUs.
• Configure AUTOSAR software components and basic software layers.
• Integrate MATLAB/Simulink models with hand-written C code.
• Participate in software testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Assist in software integration and testing on target hardware.

We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to join our automotive engineering team and contribute to the development of software for Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

We welcome applications from junior candidates with a strong academic background, as well as from experienced professionals.

Your Growth Opportunities:

• Support the development and maintenance of embedded C software for automotive applications.
• Contribute to the configuration of AUTOSAR software components and basic software layers.
• Support the integration of software generated with MATLAB/Simulink with hand-written C code.
• Participate in software testing, debugging and troubleshooting activities.
• Support software integration and testing on target hardware.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and other technical teams.

Your skills that will help us to get ahead:

• A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of C programming.
• Experience/Interest in embedded systems and software development.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or AUTOSAR is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and the ability to understand basic electronic schematics.
• Motivation to learn, curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Total compensation:

• Contract type: [Permanent ]
• Level: CCNL Commercio
• Gross annual salary (RAL): €[28.000] – €[45.000] (determined on actual experience and on the basis of objective, neutral, and verifiable criteria)
