Job summary

Ideal candidates will have proven maintenance experience in hospitality, strong practical skills, and the ability to work independently with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tiler, painter, and/or general maintenance/room technician.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance is preferred.
• Strong practical skills in tiling and painting with attention to finish.

Responsibilities

• Perform general room maintenance and repair duties including minor plumbing and carpentry.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and room breakdowns.
• Inspect rooms and facilities to identify issues and address them proactively.
• Ensure work is carried out safely, neatly, and with minimal guest disruption.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Keep records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams on refurbishments.

The Role We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Room Technician to join our Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general room maintenance and repair duties, including minor plumbing, carpentry, fixtures, and fittings
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns reported by housekeeping or front office
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, neatly, and with minimal disruption to guests
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and materials used
• Work closely with the wider Maintenance and Engineering team on planned refurbishment and upkeep projects

Requirements

• Proven experience as a tiler, painter, and/or general maintenance/room technician, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
• Strong practical skills in tiling and painting, with a good understanding of general building maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks
• A keen eye for detail and finish quality
• Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
