Job summary

db Hotels & Resorts is seeking a reliable Storekeeper to join our Stores team at our hospitality operation. You will receive, store, and issue stock across the hotel, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient support to all departments.

You will conduct regular stock counts, maintain the inventory system, liaise with suppliers, and ensure health and safety standards are met while supporting various hotel teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Storekeeper, Stores Assistant, or similar role (hotel/hospitality preferred).
• Good numerical and organisational skills.
• Basic computer literacy with stock management systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physically fit to lift/move stock as required.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Store goods correctly with FIFO and proper storage conditions.
• Issue stock to departments in line with requisitions and maintain records.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
• Maintain stock levels and flag low stock or reorders.
• Keep store areas clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records on the stock management system.
• Liaise with suppliers and departments regarding deliveries or shortages.
• Assist with general warehouse duties including loading/unloading.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods and supplies across the hotel, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient support to all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
• Store goods correctly and safely, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO) and appropriate storage conditions
• Issue stock to departments in line with requisitions, maintaining accurate records of all movements
• Conduct regular stock counts and stocktaking, reporting any discrepancies to the Stores/Purchasing Manager
• Maintain stock levels, flagging low stock or reorder requirements in a timely manner
• Keep the store areas clean, organised, and compliant with health &, safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain accurate records on the stock management/inventory system
• Liaise with suppliers, department heads, and the Purchasing team regarding deliveries, shortages, or discrepancies
• Ensure proper documentation and paperwork for all incoming and outgoing goods
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including loading/unloading and organising stock

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Stores Assistant, or in a similar warehouse/inventory role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
• Good numerical and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy, including experience with stock/inventory systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physically fit and able to lift/move stock as required
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
