Job summary

Huawei Europe in Rome, Italy seeks a Datacom Solution Manager to support pre-sales, design customer-specific networking solutions, and promote Huawei Datacom products within the Italian market.

The role requires 5+ years in IP/Datacom pre-sales, strong knowledge of Routers, Switches, WLAN, and Security, and CCNP/CCIE certification. Fluent Italian and English are essential. On-site role with opportunities for technical training and events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience in IP/Datacom networking.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking products and solutions (Routers, Switches, WLAN, Security).
• Experience in enterprise IP network or data center planning and design preferred.
• Professional certification in IP networking (CCNP/CCIE) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales and Marketing with technical pre-sales activities and design of customer-specific networking solutions.
• Promote Huawei Datacom products and solutions within the Italian Enterprise market.
• Provide technical expertise across Huawei's Datacom product portfolio and solution capabilities.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions, network designs, bids, and quotations.
• Provide technical consulting and solution design support to channel partners.
• Deliver technical training to partners and support new business opportunities.
• Monitor competitor products and market developments and contribute to strategies.
• Support brand marketing activities in line with Huawei's branding strategy.
• Participate in industry events, technical forums, and customer presentations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the Sales and Marketing teams with technical pre-sales activities and the design of customer-specific networking solutions.
• Promote Huawei Datacom products and solutions within the Italian Enterprise market.
• Provide technical expertise across Huawei's Datacom product portfolio, including product specifications and solution capabilities.
• Independently analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions, network designs, bids, and quotations across multiple products.
• Provide technical consulting and solution design support to channel partners.
• Deliver technical training to partners, strengthen their capabilities, and support the development of new business opportunities.
• Monitor competitor products and market developments and contribute to competitive strategies.
• Support brand marketing activities in line with Huawei's branding strategy.
• Participate in industry events, technical forums, and customer presentations.

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of technical pre-sales experience in the IP/Datacom networking industry.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking products and solutions, including Routers, Switches, WLAN, and Network Security.
• Experience in enterprise IP network or data center network planning and design is preferred.
• Professional-level or higher technical certification in IP networking or a related field (e.g., CCNP or CCIE).
• Proven experience working on large-scale and complex technical projects.
• Good understanding of IP/MPLS networking, transmission technologies, switching, and service provisioning.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
