Angove Partners in Milan is launching a European credit team and seeks a candidate to help build an investment platform from the ground up within a global manager. You will analyse credit opportunities, perform due diligence, and monitor portfolio developments from day one.

The role offers hands-on responsibility in a small, high-performing team with clear career growth in credit investing and buy-side execution.

Competenze

• Background in Investment Banking, ideally within Leveraged Finance, M&A, or Restructuring.
• Strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
• Interest in credit investing and building a buy-side career.

• Analyse credit opportunities across the leveraged loan and high yield markets, including company and industry research, financial modelling, and credit assessment.
• Support due diligence on new investment opportunities, working closely with the PM.
• Monitor existing portfolio positions and track company and market developments.

Our client is a Global Asset Manager manager with a long established and highly successful US business, and total assets under management well in excess of $20bn. They are launching a European office based in Milan.

The Role

You will join a newly established European credit team from the outset. This is an opportunity to help build an investment platform from the very start, inside an established and well resourced global manager, rather than join a team that is already fully formed.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse credit opportunities across the leveraged loan and high yield markets, including company and industry research, financial modelling, and credit assessment.
• Support due diligence on new investment opportunities, working closely with the PM.
• Monitor existing portfolio positions and track company and market developments.
• Prepare investment materials and recommendations for the investment team.
• Contribute to the wider build out of the European credit platform as it grows.

About You

• Background in Investment Banking, ideally within Leveraged Finance, M&A, or Restructuring.
• Strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
• Genuine interest in credit investing and building a long term career on the buy side.
• French or German language skills strongly preferred, but not a requirement.
• Comfortable working in a small, high performing team with real input from day one.
