Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager in Rome to oversee underwriting for Retail and Corporate portfolios, manage IFRS 9 stage classifications, and lead regulatory reporting on asset quality. The role requires strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of credit risk metrics.

The position involves delivering regular risk assessments to senior management, monitoring portfolio performance, and contributing to policy enhancements to balance growth with risk.

Competenze

  • Minimum 5+ years in Credit Risk with IFRS 9 impairment experience.
  • Deep understanding of credit risk triggers and reclassification criteria.
  • Familiarity with EBA guidelines on non-performing and forborne exposures.
  • Ability to interpret PD, LGD, and EAD models across stages.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).

Descrizione del lavoro

We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Credit Risk Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the consumer credit sector, with a strong focus on underwriting both retail and corporate portfolios. You will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing risk provisions, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory reporting standards.

  • Credit Underwriting: Perform comprehensive credit analysis and decision-making for both Retail and Corporate applicants, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk appetite.

  • IFRS 9 Stage Management: Oversee the Credit Reclassification process, ensuring assets are accurately categorized into Stages according to international accounting standards and Default Definition

  • Regulatory Reporting : Lead the preparation of reports regarding asset quality, stage migration, and "Non-Performing Exposure" (NPE) ratios for regulatory authorities.

  • Reporting: delivering regular reports to the top management on risk exposure and the adequacy of the bad debt reserve

  • Portfolio Monitoring : Analyze consumer credit trends and performance indicators to identify early warning signs of credit deterioration.

  • Policy Development: Contribute to the refinement of credit policies and scoring models to optimize the balance between growth and risk.

The minimum requirements we are seeking:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Credit Risk with specific expertise in IFRS 9 impairment frameworks.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Credit Risk triggers and the qualitative/quantitative criteria for credit reclassification.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with EBA (European Banking Authority) guidelines on management of non-performing and forborne exposures.

  • Analytical Background: Ability to interpret PD (Probability of Default), LGD (Loss Given Default), and EAD (Exposure at Default) models across different credit stages.

  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
