ROLE SUMMARY

International School of Milan is looking for a Cover Teaching Assistant for a temporary role starting from late August 2026. We are also looking for recurring availability to provide short, occasional cover when needed. Immediate availability is an advantage, and cover requests may be for a single day or brief periods across the academic year. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences
• Lead learning with individual children and small groups to support development
• Assist in setting up and maintaining a stimulating Early Years learning environment
• Support children’s social, emotional and physical development
• Help manage classroom routines, transitions and behaviour in a positive manner
• Contribute to monitoring children’s progress and communicate observations to the class teacher
• Support children with additional needs where required
• Ensure a safe, clean and well-organised classroom environment
• Supervise children during playtime, activities and school events
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
