Cumming Group is recruiting a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our Milan office, supporting commercial delivery of large-scale data centre projects across Italy and Europe. You will drive cost planning, procurement advice, and contract administration, mentoring junior team members and contributing to value engineering and risk management.

The role offers exposure to NEC/JCT contracts, cross-disciplinary teams and high-profile client engagements within a rapidly growing sector.

Competenze

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years in cost consultancy or QS roles on large-scale projects.
• MRICS/AssocRICS or working towards chartered status preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT and standard contracts.
• Experience with data centre, industrial, infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and client/stakeholder management.

Mansioni

• Deliver commercial and cost management services across data centre projects.
• Support development and implementation of commercial strategies for project delivery.
• Provide cost planning, benchmarking, budgeting and financial control.
• Advise clients on procurement strategy and contract selection.
• Manage tender processes, analyses and contract award recommendations.
• Support NEC and JCT contract administration.
• Manage variations, change control, claims and commercial matters.
• Review financial performance, forecasts and cash flow across commissions.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimisation while maintaining quality.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support business development activities and proposals.
• Mentor junior team members and assist regional leadership.
