Cumming Group in Milan is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of large-scale data centre projects across Italy and Europe. You will contribute to budgeting, cost planning and procurement through the project lifecycle.

You will work with clients, project teams and senior stakeholders to drive cost certainty, manage risk and optimise value while adhering to NEC/JCT frameworks and best practice.

Competenze

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3-5+ years in cost consultancy, commercial management, or quantity surveying on large-scale projects.
• Professional Accreditation: MRICS, AssocRICS, or working towards chartered status preferred.
• Experience supporting complex commercial programmes and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT and other standard forms of contracts.
• Experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure or complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial risk management, procurement strategies and construction project delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and client stakeholders.

• Deliver commercial and cost management services across multiple large-scale data centre projects.
• Support development and implementation of commercial strategies for project delivery and client objectives.
• Provide cost planning, benchmarking, budgeting and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise clients on procurement strategy, contract selection and risk allocation.
• Manage tender processes, tender analysis and contract award recommendations.
• Support negotiations and administration of NEC and JCT contracts where applicable.
• Manage variations, change control processes, claims and commercial matters.
• Review project financial performance, forecasts, cash flow and reporting across commissions.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and cost optimisation while maintaining quality.
• Support commercial governance and assurance across portfolios.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support business development activities, client pursuits and proposal preparation.
• Mentor junior team members and assist regional leadership with reporting.
