JD Logistics, part of JD.com, seeks a Cold Chain Warehouse Manager to oversee temperature-controlled operations across our warehousing network. You will ensure the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of storage and distribution for perishable goods, leading a skilled team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires extensive experience in cold chain logistics, strong technical knowledge of refrigeration and monitoring systems, and a proactive approach to safety and process improvements.

Job Summary

As the Cold Chain Warehouse Manager at JD.com, Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing all operations within our cold storage facilities, ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of temperature-controlled logistics for a wide range of perishable products.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the cold chain warehouse, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of temperature-sensitive goods.
• Develop, implement, and enforce cold chain protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and safety from inbound to outbound.
• Monitor and maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels within the warehouse using advanced monitoring systems and ensure rapid response to any deviations.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee inventory management and control for cold chain products, ensuring accuracy, minimizing waste, and optimizing storage utilization.
• Collaborate with procurement, transportation, and quality assurance teams to streamline cold chain processes and resolve any operational issues.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GDP).
• Manage warehouse equipment maintenance, including refrigeration units, forklifts, and other cold storage specific machinery.
• Analyze operational data and implement strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels.
• Prepare and manage the cold chain warehouse budget, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cold chain logistics or warehouse management, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce or retail environment.
• Proven experience managing cold storage facilities and temperature-controlled products (e.g., fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, frozen goods).
• Strong understanding of cold chain technologies, refrigeration systems, and temperature monitoring tools.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and relevant industry standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing, mentoring, and developing a team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and occasionally lift heavy objects.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is highly desirable.
