JD.com, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for Hazardous Goods to oversee all aspects of storage, handling, and distribution of hazardous materials.

This role emphasizes compliance with national and international regulations while optimizing warehouse efficiency and safety. You will lead a team, develop robust safety protocols, and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising safety or compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, with at least 5 years specifically managing hazardous goods.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international hazardous materials regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA DGR, IMDG Code, OSHA). Certifications in hazardous materials handling (e.g., HazMat Technician, DG Shipper) are highly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety programs for hazardous goods.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing regulatory environments.

Job Summary

This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, optimizing warehouse efficiency, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce robust safety protocols and procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials, in full compliance with national and international regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG, local fire codes).
• Manage and optimize warehouse layouts, inventory systems, and material flow for hazardous goods to maximize efficiency, capacity, and safety.
• Oversee the receipt, inspection, labeling, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of hazardous materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse personnel, providing ongoing coaching and performance management to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, safety, legal) and external agencies to ensure seamless operations and regulatory adherence.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising safety or compliance.
