JD.com, a Fortune 44 global enterprise, is seeking a Category Manager for the EU Food category to lead end-to-end category management, from assortment to promotions. You will develop and nurture supplier partnerships, analyze market trends, and optimize product selection to meet local customer needs.

You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations and Product teams to drive growth in a fast-paced, global ecommerce environment.

• Relevant experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising or Procurement, ideally within EU food.

About The Team

You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are seeking an ambitious and driven Category Manager to support the development and growth of our EU Food category, ensuring we provide customers with the right selection of products at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have experience in category management, buying, merchandising or procurement, with a strong ability to build meaningful supplier relationships and translate market and customer insights into effective category strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape category strategy and contribute to the growth of a dynamic and fast-growing e-commerce business.

What You Will Do

• Manage the end-to-end category management process, including assortment, pricing, supplier management, inventory and promotions.
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with key national, regional and local suppliers.
• Analyse category performance, customer demand, market trends and assortment gaps to identify growth opportunities.

About You

• Relevant experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising or Procurement, ideally within EU food.
• Strong understanding of customers, market dynamics, assortment and commercial principles.
• Experience in supplier management and building effective commercial partnerships.
• Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Highly driven, proactive and results-oriented.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
