JD.com is seeking a Category Manager for the EU Food team to develop assortment, pricing and supplier strategies across the region. The role emphasizes building strong partnerships and translating market insights into category actions.

You will work with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations and Product to shape local assortments and drive growth. Fluency in Italian and English is required.

• Experience in EU food category management, buying, merchandising or procurement.
• Strong understanding of customers, market dynamics and commercial principles.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and translate insights into strategies.

• Manage end-to-end category management process: assortment, pricing, supplier management, inventory and promotions.
• Develop strategic partnerships with key national, regional and local suppliers.
• Analyze category performance, demand, trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Build and optimise product assortment to meet local customer needs.
• Monitor inventory levels for healthy stock availability and efficiency.
• Develop category sales strategies, including pricing and promotions.
• Develop long-term strategies tailored to local market needs.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations and Product teams.
