Job summary

March Networks is seeking a software engineer to join a team delivering video recording solutions on VSS servers. You will focus on core functionalities and help evolve the system from on-premises to a cloud-based architecture.

You will work under a local manager with periodic reviews, designing, developing, testing, and debugging C++ applications across Windows and Linux. Fluency in English and collaboration in an Agile SCRUM environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer in Linux or Windows C++ development.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance embedded/server applications.
• C++ development experience with Boost and STL; knowledge of C++20 features.
• Real-time OS, IPC, and multi-threaded programming.
• Embedded systems development and cross-platform work.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OpenStack).
• Familiarity with databases and networking protocols (UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP/RTP).
• Experience in an Agile SCRUM environment.
• OO design and design patterns.
• Emphasis on testability and BDD.
• Excellent written and oral communication; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug C++ apps in Windows and Linux.
• Design and implement services enabling edge-to-cloud integration.
• Evolve REST-based service layer and decouple from runtime environment.
• Support migration from Yocto/Linux embedded to cloud-native environments.
• Define and implement deployment architectures (containers/cloud-native).
• Assist in resolving customer issues and provide technical support.
• Contribute to high-level design strategy for key projects.
