Kake is seeking an experienced Video Software Engineer to develop a real-time video platform with low-latency pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments. You will work on C++ and Rust, GStreamer, and GPU-accelerated codecs to enable high-availability services for broadcast, sports, and streaming partners.
This remote-first role requires strong problem-solving in Windows and Linux, AWS, and modern video transport technologies.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant professional experience in C++ and Rust.
- Experience in Windows and Linux development environments; AWS and GStreamer.
Mansioni
- Design, develop, and deploy low-latency video processing pipelines for cloud and on-premises.
- Optimize real-time video processing, encoding/decoding, transport and image workflows.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and operations of video services.
- Assess and integrate new technologies to improve performance.
- Provide on-call support for field operations (evenings/weekends).
- Maintain architecture diagrams and code documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
