Job summary

March Networks is seeking a software engineer to join a team that builds video recording solutions on VSS servers. You will focus on core functions and help evolve from on-premise recorders to a cloud-based architecture.

You'll work under a local manager with periodic reviews. The role requires 3+ years in C++ on Linux/Windows, cloud experience, and strong English communication. Hybrid work available with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer in Linux or Windows C++ development.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance server applications.
• Experience in C++ (desirable C++20, Boost, STL).
• Real-time OS, IPC and multi-threaded development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OpenStack).
• Familiarity with databases and networking (UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP).
• Agile software development environment (SCRUM).
• Object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Knowledge of embedded and cross-platform development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug C++ applications in Windows and Linux environments.
• Design and implement services enabling edge-to-cloud integration.
• Contribute to REST-based service layer, decoupled from runtime environment.
• Support migration from Yocto/Linux embedded systems to cloud-native environments.
• Define and implement deployment architectures (container-based and/or cloud-native).
• Support the team in resolving customer issues.
• Contribute to high-level design strategy for key projects.
